Toast Bread

Toast Bread

Let me share with you my special recipe for homemade toast bread. This bread is perfect for sandwiches, breakfast toast, or just enjoying with a bit of butter. It’s soft, fluffy, and has that wonderful fresh-baked taste. I love making this bread because it’s simple and so much better than store-bought. You will need a Monfish Pullman Loaf Pan, which helps to get that perfect shape. The dough is easy to handle, and the whole process is quite relaxing. It’s a joy to see the dough rise and turn into a beautiful loaf. The best part is the smell that fills your kitchen while it bakes. There’s nothing like the aroma of freshly baked bread. I promise, once you try making your own toast bread, you will never go back to the store-bought version. Enjoy baking and tasting this delicious bread as much as I do!

Ingredients

Toast Bread

  • 800 grams flour
  • 16 grams salt
  • 200 grams milk
  • 260-280 grams water
  • 10 grams yeast
  • 4 egg yolk
  • 80 grams butter
  • 2 teaspoons sugar

Preparation Steps

Hey there, chef! Let's make some magic with this recipe. For the best results, try to stick to the steps and ingredients list like glue. Think of it like a science experiment – weird substitutions might make things go *boom* (and not in the tasty way). 😉

Toast Bread

  1. Add sugar and yeast to lukewarm milk and let it sit for 5-10 minutes until the yeast activates.

  2. Sift the flour with the salt into a bowl. Add water, egg yolks, and then the yeast mixture. You can use a dough mixer if you have one

  3. Start mixing the dough, and toward the end, add the pieces of butter.

  4. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place until it doubles in size.

  5. On a floured surface, stretch the dough into a rectangle with your hands. Fold it into thirds and repeat the process. Then, roll it out into a rectangle (the width should match your baking pan) and roll it up into a log.

  6. Place the dough into a loaf pan. I used a Monfish Pullman Loaf Pan with a lid, 2.2 lb (13.38 x 5.4 x 4.72 inch). Don’t forget to grease the lid as well. Cover with plastic wrap and let it rise.

  7. Cover with the lid and bake in the oven at 350°F for about 45-55 minutes. Remove from the pan and let it cool.
