Banana Bundt Cake

I bake this banana Bundt cake when I have ripe bananas on the counter and want something easy, soft, and really comforting. The cake is moist and full of banana flavor, with a little cinnamon to make it extra cozy. I like to add walnuts for some crunch, but chocolate chips are also very good if you want it a little more sweet and playful. It is the kind of cake you can make for family, for visitors, or just because the kitchen needs a good smell. Simple recipe, lovely result, and always gone very fast.

Ingredients

Banana Bundt Cake

  • 2 cup flour
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • 2 eggs
  • 3-4 ripe bananas (350grams)
  • 2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup walnuts or chocolate chips

Preparation Steps

Hey there, chef! Let's make some magic with this recipe. For the best results, try to stick to the steps and ingredients list like glue. Think of it like a science experiment – weird substitutions might make things go *boom* (and not in the tasty way). 😉

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Grease the Bundt pan with butter and dust with flour, or use baking spray with flour.

  2. In a bowl, whisk together all the dry ingredients: flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

  3. Then beat the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Add the mashed bananas, sour cream, and vanilla, and mix until well combined.

  4. Finally, add the flour mixture and the chopped walnuts, and mix until just combined. You can easily swap the walnuts for chocolate chips if you like.

  5. Bake at 350°F for 40 min, then lower the temperature to 325°F and bake for 10 min more. Turn the Bundt cake out while still warm, and once it is completely cool, you can dust it with powdered sugar.
